Changchun
A city of fascinating and little-known history, a visit to the Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo is a crash course on Manchuko, also known as Manchuria. Learn about the Japanese invasions during World War 2 and Aisin Gioro Puyi, the symbolic emperor of the puppet state entrenched here. The local Jingyue Lake is always a great place to soak in nature.
Ski Fields
Take your pick. Songhua Lake Resort is an international quality ski resort equipped with comprehensive facilities and services (a true first-grade family-friendly resort). Beidahu Ski Resort is more known for it’s competitive focus and frequently hosts the Chinese National Winter Games. Zhuqueshan Ski Field is a favourite with locals.
Antu
Antu located in eastern Jilin province, is home to a majority of ethnic Koreans. Antu is also home to the most stunning nature of the province, including the Changbai Mountain Scenic Area. The scenic area is home to the jaw-dropping Heaven Lake and surrounding volcanic sites.
Jilin City
Wusong, or Rime Island middle lies in the middle of the Songhua River. The island is named after the rime ice phenomena which takes place here. Every winter, unfrozen water vapor rising up from the river solidifies as frost on the trees.
